Skillz FC U15s Rise to Victory!
Our U15's showed their class for all to see as they were proudly confirmed champions of the BFA Christmas 5v5. A difficult group that included United FC, Baha Juniors and IM Bears lined up an exciting day.
However, this team and the coaches behind them never panicked as they knew the quality that they brought to the table. It wasn't soon before we were drawn level and we began to play the way we know we can.
Our second game came against a stubborn and robust Baha Juniors side who had a game plan and stuck to it. It took a long time to get the lead and when we did Baha went right down the other end to level it.
The day's opening game was a showdown to say the least. We conceded within the first minute to put us on the back foot as United FC came sprinting out of the blocks. We knew United FC would be tough opponents and that they were.
Key performances from Tomás Barbosa and Lheerin Hanchell led us to a 3-1 win over our good friends over at United FC and that set the tone for us for the rest of the tournament.
It looked as though neither side was going to grab the win. However, a starring substitute performance from Tomás Barbosa had something to say about that as he once again got on the scoresheet exactly when we needed him, extending our win streak to 2 for the day.
Our third game was forfeited by IM Bears for reasons unknown to us but this resulted in our U15's being rightly named Champions!
